Since the launch of her first perfume in 1921, CHANEL No 5, Coco Chanel and the CHANEL brand have created many iconic feminine perfumes. My personal favorites are Mademoiselle and Chance created in 2000s by Jacques Polge. Chance has aromas of iris, jasmine, hyacinth and pink pepper.
The new fragrance is Chance Eau Splendide with top notes of red fruit, raspberry, rose, violet and peach; heart notes of iris and geranium and base notes of white musk, cedar wood and white musk.
The creator of the perfume, Olivier Polge, Jacque’s son, says:
Little by little, I developed this accord of raspberry, which has a high pitch and is very fruity. But what I found interesting was the day there was a rosy undertone, something slightly violet—and this was the start of an interesting perfume.
On a trip to Nice last month I tried the perfume and just had to have it! Such an amazing elegance in a bottle!
