New York Fashion Week in autumn and Stockholm Fashion Week now saw the return of the military outfit or the camo outfit in Street Style. So what is the best way to wear it? I would say invest in the camo jacket with an update on it, such as embroidery or cool colorful patches. Combine it with frayed jeans and embroidered boots or shoes. Or as the lady in the middle picture below – with a Chanel brooch and tiny brown leather belt.
Cara Delevingne, for example, dresses the military jacket down as a very simple outfit with a black mini skirt base. Jenna Lyons, creative director and president for J.Crew, manages to pull off camo pants combined with a PJ shirt and a smart blazer. But be careful if you go for the camo pants – they should be chinos and not tight ones! Otherwise the whole smart styling goes out the window! And of course, Olivia Palermo, who combines a front tie camo shirt with a feminine skirt and embroidered flats. Happy styling!
